<p>The tanker vehicle with pump and suction pipe is particularly for pumping out drains, cesspits etc. The suction pipe (7) runs along the side of the tank (4), where it has a universal joint (15,16) bridged by a pre-loaded length of hose (20) tending to move the front part outwards. This front part is coupled to the tank by an actuating ram (8) exerting a transverse force and raising and lowering it. Between the joint and the suction nozzle is a support (9) having a recess for this part of the pipe (7) when in line with the rear part (6), and on which there is a guide face (11) sloping downwards and outwards, leading from the recess. The front part of the pipe supports a suction hose (18) hanging downwards.</p> |
