The heat extractor is for a gas stove and has a metal case to place in the flame line between the stove and the flue. It has chicane paths traversed by the hot gas, to give radiant heating. The case is covered with sheets of stainless metal, spaced from each other transversely to the hot gas flow. The central part of the sheet section is on the axis of entry and outlet holes for the case. The chicanes force the gas to cross the greatest sheet area possible.
