PURPOSE:To accurately control the by-pass air flow by using a step motor for the control of air volume flowing through a by-pass passage connecting the upstream and the downstream of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:A flow control valve 8 is provided on a by-pass passage 16 which connects the intake air passages upstream and downstream of a throttle valve 4, said flow control valve 8 being controlled by a step motor 9 which is continuously rotated from a step position to fully open the flow control valve 8 to a step position determined by the cooling water temperature detected by an engine cooling water temperature sensor 63 moving the flow control valve 8 to the closing direction. |
