<p>For the utilisation of solar energy with solar cells, a cover plate has thermally insulated troughs which have a projecting extension and a corresponding recess at their ends for flush jointing of the troughs for the purpose of overlapping the ends like tiles. On the floor, the troughs have pipes for heated liquid and the corresponding elements for heat absorption. Projecting pins or bolts are provided on the undersides of the troughs, with their heads seated in corresponding mountings or recesses which permit such a large outlet opening that the adjustment of the pins at the fastening position of the troughs to the mounting for the cover plate is possible, while projecting pins are provided on the longitudinal edges and serve for simultaneous fastening of intermediate troughs and of glass plates forming the closures of the troughs, with the intermediate troughs providing the connection between parallel rows of the troughs.
