The upper platform (10) has a width, sufficient for parking two cars one beside the other, and is stiffened by a transverse load-bearing member (14) which is arranged in the region of the articulated mounting and a transverse load-bearing member (14) which is arranged in the region of the points at which the lifting drive acts. The transverse load-bearing members (14) have a horizontal underside (15) and their height, which changes corresponding to moment loading, is greatest at the centre, with the result that the two parking surfaces resting on the transverse load-bearing members (14) exhibit transverse slopes which start from a common central apex and run, outwards in opposite directions, down to the longitudinal sides of the platform (10). <IMAGE>
