A motor vehicle component and an installation arrangement for it comprises a cover for covering a mounting device such as a screw, specifically in such a way that the sharp end of the mounting device does not damage the cover or the insulation of an electrical wire of the vehicle. The cover is swivellably attached to the vehicle component and can be moved during the installation of the component on the vehicle wall in order to permit the component to be attached to the vehicle wall. The cover mainly comprises two main sections which are connected to one another at right angles, one of which is arranged over the top of the mounting device in order to serve as a cover and the other of which engages with a part of the vehicle wall in order to hold the cover in that position in which it covers the end of the mounting device. <IMAGE> |
