Imparting of a random multi-directional orientation to a malleable film by pulling the film (12) through at least one pair of multi-directional orientation rollers (20) which are angularly threaded and grooved along the entire length, the grooves (24) of each roller (20) being positioned to receive the threads (22) of the oppositely disposed roller (20).
