PURPOSE:To obtain a titled photoreceptor having a good evenness of a surface without decreasing photosensitive characteristics in a photoconductive layer constituting a photorecepter by varying the rate of an average particle size of photoconductive powder sonsisting essentially of CdS and a binder in the side of an electrically conductive support and the surface side. CONSTITUTION:The first photoconductive layer 2 having 10-80mum thickness and the second photoconductive layer 3 having 1-10mum thickness are laminated in a stratiform on an electrically conductive support 1. Said layer 2 is composed of a film in which photoconductive powder consisting essentially of CdS having 0.5-5.0mum average particle size is dispersed to have 0.1-0.4 weight ratio to an electrically insulative resin binder such as a silicone / an acrylic resin. The other hand, the second layer is composed of a film in which the powder consisting essentially of CdS having 0.1-1.5mum average particles size is dispersed to have 0.2-0.8 weight ratio to the electrically insulative resin binder. Thus, a photoreceptor having high sensitivity, long life, excellent cleaning resistance, less residual potential and an image with high quality is obtained. |
