<p>PURPOSE:A dampening water-free lithographic ink composition printable with remarkably reduced stain in a non-image area, which contains a solvent of b.p. >= a specified temp. contg. both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups but being highly hydrophilic as a whole. CONSTITUTION:A dampening water-free lithographic ink composition contg. 1- 70wt% solvent of b.p. >=200 deg.C, which has a hydrophilic group such as a hydroxyl or carbonyl group together with a hydrophobic group such as a hydrocarbon residue in the molecule but is highly hydrophilic as a whole, e.g. a polyalkylene glycol mixt. composed of mixed adducts of ethylene oxide and propylenen oxide, in which the mol number of added components is 2-20, or a polyalkylene glycol deriv. contg. a 4C or higher diol on a part of the main chain of the above compd. as an addition unit. It is possible to carry out printing with formation of remarkably reduced stain in a non-image area by use of the ink.</p> |
