EVAPORATION OF ELECTRON TUBE GETTER

PURPOSE:To make the amount of the evaporation of an electron tube getter constant by intermittently heating the said getter. CONSTITUTION:A series of carts 22 are made to shift along a closed slender loop. Getter heating high-frequency power sources 231-238 are provided at given positions of the carts 22 so that each power source 23 is attached to a cart 22. The power sources 231-238 are equipped with heating coils used for evaporating getters, and a given high-frequency current is fed to the heating coils. Braun tubes exhausted are attached to such a device so that each Braun tube exhausted is placed on and fixed to each of the series of carts 22. Consequently, the temperature and the amount of the evaporation of the getter become constant by intermittently and repeatedly heating the getter during the time when the cart 22 is shifted.
