<p>The blades are lockable in reduced pitch, with hydraulic channels as well as mechanical connections linking engine and airscrew. The constant-speed controller has three multi-way valves, each communicating with one of the linking channels. The first provides pitch-increase high-pressure fluid, the second connects the airscrew to a drain in the 'blades locked' setting, the third provides pitch-reduction fluid. A servo-valve (24) is hydraulically linked (23) with the first multi-way valve (21) and a reverse-thrust meter (94). The second valve (36) is connected with the second multi-way valve (34) and the torque meter (82), the third valve (75) with the first (24) and the thrust meter (94).</p> |
