In the device, a pusher (27), a conveyor device (26), a pads press (22) and an ejection pin (41) are arranged axially one behind the other. The carrier jaws (29) of the conveyor device (26) are concentrically movable with respect to the shaft (26) and form a closed transversing channel of which the section area is adaptable to that of the pad blank and that of the pressed pad (21), respectively. The section area of the pusher (27) is substantially smaller than that of the transversing opening for the pad blank, the carrier jaws being in the open position. The carrier jaws have a length, in the direction of the shaft (23), corresponding to that of the drawback band (39). The pad press (22) has pressing jaws (24) which are radially moveable with respect to the shaft (23) between the gripping position of the pad blank and a pressing position. The ejection pin (41) is used for the ejection of the pad (21) outside the press (22) to bring it back in the carrier device (26) and against the pusher (27) which tightens the drawback band (39) against the pad (21). |
