The wood cutting machine has grip units and is supported by a lift arrangement and is able to cut, fell, lop and divide timber into predetermined lengths. It has a pivot mechanism permitting movement between horizontal and vertical positions. The pivot mechanism comprises a hydraulic cylinder articulated to the machine frame, and whose far end is connected to a pivot arm (8). One end of the pivot arm is attached to a lifting unit. The fixture point between the pivot arm and the cutting machine corresp. to the equilibrium state for the machine when the latter's frame parts are in a specific telescopic position. |
