<p>A hinge allows a front and rear elements of a clamp to pivot. A motor with reduction gear is supported by a plate fixed to the rear element. The output shaft has an excentric fixed to it and the shaft is supported at the remote end by a second plate. The front element supports a wheel in a bracket which presses against the excentric due to the return spring between the front and rear elements. The motor assembly rotates the excentric to pivot the two clamp elements by remote control of the motor. This action permits the clamping of reams of printed papers for cutting in a precise position w.r.t. the text.</p> |
