The actual carcase (1) of the display case is fitted with a section strip. At least one edge of this section strip runs at a distance from the outer wall of the carcase (1) so that there is a gap between this strip and the outer wall. The descriptive and/or price tickets and labels of the goods inside the case can then be fastened directly to the outside wall in this gap giving a clear indication of the contents without taking up extra space or causing confusion. Instead of price tickets, decorative strips can be used with the section strips to improve the overall appearance.
