<p>The hot-gas engine is of the rotary sliding-vane type, being encapsulated together with the gas, which can be air, helium or hydrogen. It (11,12,16) can be inserted in insulating material (13) acting as a heat barrier, and the vanes can be sealed by spring strips. Cooling and heating fins (14) can be mounted round it, to gride the medium and induce turbulence, and also increase the surface area. Cooling coils (15) can also be mounted in the outlet for the heating medium, to give further temp. reduction.</p> |
