COLD ROLLING METHOD FOR STEEL STRIP

PURPOSE:To reduce equipment troubles caused by corrosion by applying a specific amount of a precoat oil containing a specific amount of phosphate and not adding phosphate to rolling oil. CONSTITUTION:A precoat oil containing 1-3% phosphate is applied to a steel strip 5 by 0.5-5 g/m<2> to assist rust prevention and lubrication after descaling the hot rolled steel strip 5. A rolling oil which excludes phosphate is emulsified and dispersed and is sprayed on a rolling roll 4 and the strip 5 by circulative supply from a rolling oil circulation tank 2 by a pump 3. Thus, the cost of the rolling oil is reduced and equipment troubles caused by corrosion are reduced because reduction of a phosphate content in a coolant.
