PURPOSE:To make it possible to display an excellent effect in separation of rare earth element, by supplying an ion exchanger with a solution of mixed elements containing a complex forming agent and separating the solution after allowing the formation of adsorbing belts on 50-100% of the filled ion exchanging bodies. CONSTITUTION:The chromatographic developing operation is to be composed of the following steps: (1) A tower filled with ion exchanging bodies is to be a solution-receiving type; (2) By supplying the tower with a solution of mixed element containing a complex forming agent, mixed element adsorbing belts are formed on 50-100% of the ion exchanging tower; (3) By suspplying the tower with the solution containing the complex forming agent, the solution flowing out from the bottom of the tower is taken out by being divided into fractions. The important thing at this time is to allow 50-100% of the adsorbing belts of the mixed element to be adsorbed bt executing a series of the aforementioned operations 2, and this remains almost same as the conventional process if the adsorption is lower than 50%, and the separation becomes extremely low if the adsorption exceeds 100%. |
