PURPOSE:To enable separation of ink jet heads during the stoppage and facilitate the positioning thereof on the surface of a recording paper by providing a driver for moving the heads and an ink feeder together. CONSTITUTION:Multi-array type ink jet heads and an ink feeder are mounted on a head mounting plate 401. With the driving of a motor, a housing 403 advances or retracts on a guide rail so that the ink jet heads will approach or separate from a recording paper. The housing 403 is provided with a notch 408 thereby enabling passage of a bearing 407. |
