PURPOSE:To made the printing clear with a larger difference between the temperatures before and at the printing on the surface of a platen by preventing thermal conduction from the preceding printing. CONSTITUTION:A polygonal platen 1 which divided in the circumferential direction with a heat insulating material 2 radially arranged at an equal pitch is connected to a driver section so as to send a thermo-sensitive color developing paper 4 with a push roller 3 at a fixed pitch while supported in such a manner as to rotate intermittently. The thermosensitive color developing paper 4 develops color to perform one line of printing with the movement of a thermal head 5 along a platen being energized. As the platen being heated rotates at the same pitch as the arrangement pitch of the heat insulating material 2 to send the thermosensitive color developing paper, a fresh circumferential surface close to the normal temperature of the platen 1 faces the thermal head. This can maintain a large temperature difference before and after the printing thereby making the printing clear. |
