Lacquer contains an organic polymeric adhesive dispersed in an aq. carrier medium. It includes silica sol. at a level of 0.1-5 (0.5-2.5) wt.% SiO2 measured on dry polymer. - The silica particles pref. have a dia. of 5-15 nm.
