<p>PURPOSE:To recover energy in good efficiency by a method wherein an unadsorbed component gas issued from an adsorption tower is sent to an adiabatic expansion turbine and, further, subjected to heat exchange with the mixed gas of which pressure is not yet raised to convert pressure energy to power energy. CONSTITUTION:After stock air is cooled by a heat exchanger 28 and pressure thereof is raised by a pressure raising machine 29 driven by a motor 32, it is cooled by a water cooling type after-cooler 30 and a cooling machine 31 to be sent to an adsorption tower 21 present in an adsorbing process through a valve 24. An O2 gas in air is adsorbed in the adsorption tower 21 and the residual N2 gas is sent to an expansion turbine 33 through a valve 46. The turbine 33 is operated by pressure of the N2 gas and power thereof is transmitted to the motor 32. The N2 gas of which temp. is lowered by expanding said gas in the turbine 33 is sent to the heat exchanger 28 as a cooling medium and exhausted after heat exchanged with stock air. On the other hand, in an adsorption tower 22 of a desorption and regeneration process, air therein is exhausted through a valve 35 and, thereafter, said tower is evacuated by a vacuum pump 45 to desorb O2 and sent out the same through a valve 39.</p> |
