PURPOSE:To enhance the working efficiency by coating a part of a ratchet gear for indexing wedge slot by a circular-arc coating piece within the moving range of a pawl engaged with the gear, thereby eliminating the adjustment of the pawl upon alteration of the work to be performed. CONSTITUTION:In a device for indexing a slot of a wedge holder with a pawl 18 moved by a cam 13 of a coil inserting machine side for the slot 2' of the holder 2 and a ratchet gear 3 rotated for one tooth by the pawl 18, a circular- arc coating piece 10 is mounted on a base 4 adjacent to the gear 3, and part of the gear 3 is covered with the piece 10 in the range of operating the pawl 18. In this manner, even when the specification of the stator to be worked is altered and the number of teeth of the gear 3 is varied, it can be accurately rotated one tooth by one tooth without adjustment of the operating fulcrum of the pawl 18. |
