PURPOSE:To improve the quality of recording by simplifying the construction of a drive curcuit through the adoption of such a construction wherein gate electrodes of special configuration meshed with others. CONSTITUTION:In a matrix recorder wherein multiple stylus electrodes S1- S32 are arranged, and drops of magnetic ink I are formed at the top ends of those electrodes, and pulse like signal voltage of inverse polarity are applied to a group of gate electrodes G0-G4 and a group of stylus electrodes S1- S32 respectively and an image is formed on a sheet of recording paper P by causing drops of ink I at the top ends of stylus electrodes S1-S32 to fly in the direction of gate electrode G0-G4, such a construction wherein the gate electrodes G0-G4 are formed in the shape of a comb or the teeth of a saw and they mesh with other is adopted. The expansion of potential by gate electrodes G'0- G'4 of this invention is as shown by a solid line, while that of potential by the conventional gate electrodes G0-G4 is as shown by a dotted line. |
