PURPOSE:To utilize effectively the heat contained in the waste gases of which the quantity of heat of the waste gas per unit is small and which are discharged intermittently by collecting the high temp. waste gases of a large number of box annealing furnaces in a gathering duct, and generating steam and hot water with a boiler. CONSTITUTION:A large number of box annealing furnaces each consisting in putting coils 22 of strips in an inner cover 20 and covering these with a bell 1 are installed, and the ducts 2 for waste gases for heating these are connected to branch pipes 5 which are connected further to a gathering duct 4, whereby high temp. waste gases are collected. The collected waste gases enter a boiler 6, where they heat boiler water, and generate high temp. water and high temp. steam. These are subjected to steam-water separation to steam and hot water in a drum 10. The steam is fed to the factory using the same and the hot water is cyclically supplied to the boiler 6 by means of a pump 11. Although the high temp. waste gas produced from one piece of the box annealing furnace is small in amt. and is difficult to use as it is discharged intermittently, the effective utilization of the heat contained by the waste gases is made possible by gathering the waste gas ducts of the multiple annealing furnaces. |
