Benzoyl arylthioureas and use as plant growth regulators

Novel compounds having the structural formula <IMAGE> in which R is H or agriculturally acceptable salts thereof, or C1 to C4 alkyl and R1 and R2 are hydrogen or C1 to C4 alkyl, alkoxy or carbalkoxy, halogen, thiocyano, hydroxy, phenoxy, methylenedioxy or methylthio are useful as plant growth regulators, particularly to increase fruit set with minimum deformative side effects.
