PURPOSE:To increase the recording density and to decrease the cost of heat sensitive recording heads by synchronizing the heat sensitive recording head with the movement of recording paper, shifting the head in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the recording paper, and recording the received data. CONSTITUTION:A selecting switch 5 is driven by the received fascimile signal, and the specified heat sensitive recording head 3 is selected and connected to a power source. The heat sensitive recording head 3 is conducted, and the data is heat-sensitively recorded on the recording paper 8 on the opposite side. In this recording system the heat sensitive heads 3 are arranged in series with an interval L being provided. However, the printing is performed 5 times within said interval L. Therefore, the same recording density as the density of 4 heat sensitive recording heads arranged in series is implemented in said intervl L by using only 1 head. |
