PROCESS:A compound of formula II is subjected to the ring closing reaction with a compound of formula III in an equimolar amount - excess molar amount in a solvent, e.g. chloroform, at room temperature - 200 deg.C to give the compound of formulaI, The presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid, etc. in a molar amount of 0.5 - excess based on the compound of formula II permits the reaction to advance suitably. |
