The invention relates to a device for lasting the ankle piece of footwear on lasting machines, consisting of sliding fingers (16) which are equipped with push-over devices (17) and tensioning belts (18) and which are held on supporting rods (15) connected to piston rods (13) of hydraulic power cylinders mounted in supporting segments (12). In order to adjust the sliding fingers of this device according to the curve formed by the ankle piece of the footwear, even before coming up against the lasting stop, each supporting segment (12) is mounted with its lower part in a longitudinal guide formed by a fence (10) constituting the horizontal part of a parallelogram, each of the two arms of the parallelogram, namely the rear arm (8) and the front arm (9), being mounted at one end on the fence (10) and at the second end on a carrier (7) which is mounted at one end pivotably about a supporting journal (6) fastened in one of the brackets (3) of the frame (1) and which is connected in an articulated manner, at the other end facing the sliding fingers (16), to the power cylinder (25) pivotably arranged in the frame (1), and there is mounted reversibly on the upper part of the supporting segment (12) a supporting rod (15) with an auxiliary carrier (34), in the bearing (20) of which is a two-armed indicating lever (22), of which one arm carries, above the lasting upper of the footwear (29), a sensor (23) and the second arm carries a position-adjusting screw (24). <IMAGE>
