PURPOSE:To execute a feature extraction at a high speed by a simple constitution, by providing a direction deciding circuit and a count deciding circuit, and executing a decision of a direction, a change of an address, integration of circumferential length, integration of an area, etc. CONSTITUTION:A mask is moved by normal scan to a memory 41 in which is a picture has been stored. A start point is detected by a start point detecting circuit 47, a border data is registered in a controller 48, and its address is stored in other area of the memory 41. A direction deciding circuit 42 decides a direction for advancing next and inputs it to a register 43. In accordance with a data of the register 43, a clock is supplied to an X axis address counter 45 and a Y axis address counter 46 from a count deciding circuit 44. As a result, a new address is decided, and a position of the mask is decided. The mask goes the round, completes tracking of the center, and transfers a result of a circumferential length integrator 49 and an area integrator 50 to a prescribed place. After that, other part of the same picture executes the same operation. |
