<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate taking out of a condensed metal after the end of a condensing operation and to improve production efficiency by constituting a retort of a freely dividable heating part and condensing part and sealing the joint part of both said parts of a packed layer of powder. CONSTITUTION:The retort is constituted freely dividably of the heating part A and the condensing part B and a baffle plate 3 having fine holes is provided to the joint part thereof. The heating part A is a crucible 2 for housing a raw material 15 and consists of a powder packed channel 4 for holding the sealing powder 17. The condensing part B consists of a skirt part 5 and a cooled 9 provided via a clad plate 8. The powder of the same metal as the metal of the raw material 15 is packed into the channel 4 of the joint part between the heating part A and the condensing part B to seal said part. The grain size of said powder is specified to 0.1-500mum, the width of the channel 4 to about 5-100mm and the depth thereof to about 5-200mm. The condensed metal 16 obtd. by reduction distillation or distillation refining of the raw material 15 is thereby easily taken out.</p> |
