PURPOSE:To facilitate smooth suspension of seat belt at a pillat side suspension point of a door side junction by providing a door-side junction of a seat belt with a suspension piece and a center pillar of a vehicle with a junction member of special construction to fit to the said suspension piece. CONSTITUTION:One end of seat belt 1 of passive seat belt device is fixed to a vehicle body at the rear portion of the central side of seats via a retractor and another end is securely fixed to door pole 3. To make door pole 3 to which another end of seat belt 1 is fixed resistive against shock load, a door- side junction of belt 1 is suspended on center pillar 9 when the door is closed. As a suspension device of belt 1, suspension member 6 is pivotably installed on anchor bracket 5 fixed to pillar 9 so that member 6 can rotate in obliquely upward direction. Member 6 is energized in direction of outside of vehicles by spring 8. Pin 3 is protrudedly equipped at the tip of door pole 3 to engaged with downward recessed channel 6a of member 6 when the door is closed. |
