The drive is fixed by a holder (30) at the inside of the cover plate (12) of the casing (10), spaced away from the screws (68) holding the bearing. The bearing is a plastics moulding esp. an acetal resin. The metronome as claimed is constructed so that time-setting is relatively easy.
