Folding pair of steps - has wide bottom step turning on front stiles and hinged to top step at rear

The front, and two rear stringers, and a top and a bottom tread panel, make up a pair of folding steps. There are paired stringers mutually swivelling at the top, while the top tread panel turns on the rear stringers, and is set with the stringers into storage and working positions by an adjusting lever. The bottom tread panel (27) turns on the front stringers (10). The two panels (23,27) are hinged together at the rear by swivelling levers (28) which are arranged so that in the storage position the panels run parallel to the folded stringers (10,14), while in the operative position they are parallel to the standing plane determined by the bottom ends of the stringers.
