摘要 The printing mechanism (4) preferably intended for label printing devices has type-carrying wheels (18.1, 18.2) which bear printing types and are connected to one another via hollow shafts (24-26) inserted coaxially in one another with adjusting wheels (19.1, 19.2) to form individually adjustable units. A plurality of such units are combined to form an assembly. The hollow shaft located in the outermost position on such an assembly is mounted rotatably on a carrier (20) of the printing mechanism while the units located radially on the inside are mounted in each case on parts of the respectively adjacent unit with the hollow shaft located radially on the outside. The bores of the hollow shafts are spaced away from the surfaces of the adjacent hollow shafts, said surfaces being ground precisely over their entire length. The ends of the hollow shafts protrude in each case into central blind-bore hollows in the type-carrying and adjusting wheels and are anchored there fixedly against rotation. The bore of the central hole of the type-carrying and adjusting wheel is selected and treated in such a way that it is able to form a bearing point (31, 32; 33, 34) with the surface of the adjacent hollow shaft. <IMAGE>
