PURPOSE:To use a specific compound as a photographic magenta coupler which is superior in coloring speed and max. coloring density, does not produce photographic fogs and yellow stains and has stable coloring property with time. CONSTITUTION:The compound expressed by the formulaI(R1 is alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic group; R2 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylamino, cycloamino, heterocyclic amino, anilino, ureido; A is residual groups of 5-7-membered cyclic carbonyl compounds; n is 1-5 integers), for example, the formula II. The above-mentioned compound is used by adding the same as a coupler for forming magenta dye images in the constituting layer (more preferably green sensitive emulsion layer) of a photosensitive material at about 0.01-3mol ratios per mole of silver halide contained in its emulsion layer. |
