PURPOSE:To easily remove bubbles in piping and head as well as eliminate the clogging of these by providing a tube pump by which ink is forcibly supplied during the on-off period of power scurce or anomalous period. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply system is provided with the first ink supply tube through which ink is supplied through a tube pump 18 from the lower part of an ink tank 17 to an ink jet head 19 and also the second ink supply tube through which ink is directly supplied to the ink jet head 19. When the tube pump 19 is operated, ink in the ink tank 17 reaches through the first ink supply tube 21 to the head 19 where it is diverged into an ink chamber, an ink jet nozzle, and the second ink supply tube 23. And, when the head 19 and the second ink supply tube 23 are filled with ink, the tube pump 18 is stopped. The supply of ink during the printing period is performed through the tube 23. |
