PURPOSE:To provide a molten iron desulfrizer in impeller agitation causing no cohesion by mixing CaC2, CaO, CaF2, NaF of specific grain sizes at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:At the stage of desulfurizing molten iron outside the furnace by agitation with impellers, the desulfurizer of the following composition is used. This is the desulfurizer prepd. by mixing 30-70pts.wt. CaC2 of at least 75wt% 0.2-1.0mm. grain sizes, <=15wt% thereof >=1.0mm., and <=10wt% thereof <=0.2mm.,68-20pts.wt. CaO of 85wt% <=1mm. grains sizes, >=15wt% thereof >=1.0mm., <=10wt% thereof <=0.1mm., 2-8pts.wt. CaF2 wherein <=1.0mm. grain sizes occupy >=50wt%, and 0.3-1.5wt% NaF of >=70wt% of <=0.2mm. grain sizes, wherein the grain sizes as a wole are <=15wt% thereof >=1.0mm., and <=50wt% there of <=0.2mm.. It has superior desulfurization reaction efficiency without adhesion to the impllers. |
