<p>PURPOSE:To prevent squeak of a brake by setting the amount of piston restoration on the disc incoming side owing to the seal ring at a larger value than that of the outgoing side piston and thereby quickening the contact of the outgoing side brake pad with the disc. CONSTITUTION:The braking is performed by allowing the incoming side piston 9 and outgoing side piston 9' to press the brake pad 5 against the disc 7. Setting the size of a notch 13 at the accomodation part of a seal ring 10 of the incoming side piston 9 at a larger value than that of another notch 13' furnished at the accomodation part of a seal ring 10' of the outgoing side piston 9' will enlarge the amount of restoration made by the seal ring 10 of the incoming side piston 9 compared with that made by the seal ring 10' of the outgoing side piston 9', whereby the timing at which contact with the backing metal 11 takes place at the occasion of subsequent application of brakes is quickened on the outgoing side.</p> |
