In order to guarantee a reliable determination of the front length of the position of the sole of a ski boot on the ski, a front safety binding part is provided which ensures two lateral contacts and one front contact for the boot sole, it being possible for the front contact to be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the ski relative to the two lateral contacts. For this purpose, an adjusting device with a control member is provided, with which the front contact interacts, the control member being arranged so as to be displaceable. The interacting regions between the front contact and the control member are formed by a system of sloping surfaces.
