<p>Control (dissuasive) spray compsn. contg. an extract of an alkaloid, such as Capsicine (which is lightly suffocating and sternutatory) obtained from an extract of Mombasa EW810280. Pref. the compsn. comprises 1.5% of extract and 98-5% of n-hexanol. The compsn. may be sprayed by formulating as an aerosol with a refrigerated gas, such as Freon 12. A pref. aerosol contains 20% of compsn. (contg.1.5% of Capsicum Mombasa EW810280 extract and 98.5% of n-hexanol) and 80% of Freon 12. Used as a harmless aerosol or mist for directing at the heads of fighting animals (esp.dogs), which immediately stops the fighting. The spray is used at a distance of 1.5-3.0 metres and its effect lasts for at most 24hrs. The compsn. works initially by surprise, followed by sneezing and then suffocation and immediately calms the animal. It is esp. useful for control of groups of overexcited fighting dogs.</p> |
