PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by providing spring means for storing manual energy and performing the movement of a head and the feeding of a sheet by the spring means. CONSTITUTION:When a printing head 40 is moved by a manual knob 4 to a frame 16 side, a sheet feeding member 15 is rotated in a direction of an arrow 1 against the spring tension of a sheet feeding spring 37, the end member 26 of a control shaft 20 is engaged with the member 15, and is stopped in the state that the member 15 is energized to move in a direction of an arrow m. When the head 40 is moved manually in a direction of an arrow A, energy for moving the head 40 in a direction of an arrow C is stored by the tension of a feeding spring 28, an anchor 49 is moved in the direction of arrow E and F by the engagement of anchor pawls 41, 42 with a teeth portion 57, thereby feeding stepwisely at least by one dot of typing element 18 of a typing head 8. |
