Deburring moulded elastomer - by short-term exposure on all sides to heat-radiation to burn and/or embrittle burr

Moulded elastomers are deburred by exposure to heat-radiation on all sides for less than 2 secs. and opt. subsequent mechanical treatment. Heat-radiation temp. is so high above elastomer decompsn. temp. that it causes sudden combustion and/or embrittlement of the burr. The burrs can be removed completely and irreversibly, with low energy-consumption and with a high degree of automation. E.g. synthetic rubber bumpers can be deburred with heat efficiency less than 3 kw.
