The articulated joints is intended for equipment subjected to differential internal and external pressure, e.g. in a diving suit. It has socket and plug portions and a coupling member fitting over the plug portion on the inside, all three of part-spherical cross-section. They enclose between them a sealed chamber containing incompressible liquid. The end of the plug portion is in the form of an annular piston. The coupling member (3) also has a part-spherical section fitting round the outside of the plug portion (2), and is in turn enclosed by the socket portion (1).
