PURPOSE:To realize a small-sized structure for a data transfer device and to redouble the I/O transfer capacity with a 1-byte bus cable used as before, by providing a pair of bus-in/bus-out between I/Os of plural channels and using the bus in two directions to realize a 2-byte bus. CONSTITUTION:Wnen a read command is executed, the data given from I/0101 and I/0012 are applied to an internal buffer of a channel 100 via a route of registers 209 and 210, a driver 208, a bus-in 206, a receiver 204 plus registers 201 and 202 plus another route of registers 209' and 210', a driver 208', a bus-out 205, a receiver 204' plus registers 201' and 202', respectively. During the execution of a write command, the data given from the internal buffer of the channel 100 is sent to an I/O device via the bus-out 205 and the bus-in 206. As a result, the data of two bytes can be transferred at a time between the channel side and the I/O side. |
