PURPOSE:To integrally mold a hollow article of a complicated shape from a thermosetting resin without splitting the article by a method wherein a resin is molded by using a core made of a low-melting alloy and the core is removed by melting after the molding. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin is transfer molded by using the core made of the low-melting alloy (an alloy which does not melt at the molding temperature for the resin but melts at a temperature of not higher than the decomposition temperature of the resin, such as a Pb-Sb-Sn alloy and a Bi-Cd-Pb alloy), and thereafter the core is removed from the molded article by melting the alloy by heating. Accordingly, there is not need to mold the article in the form of a plurality of split parts, and a hollow article having a complicated undercut part can be molded integrally. |
