<p>Plastic elements of a chain link profile are moulded in sets linked by temporary integral bridges so that the linked mouldings can be withdrawn in series from their tools by a sprocket drive system. Specifically, the pairs of hollow links are moulded in sets which then shift to other tools where they are overmoulded with pairs of studded links to form an integrated chain. The link elements are moulded in groups using tools with ejector pins acting on the integral bridges between the links. A cutter severs the temporary bridges as the combined links leave the second moulding tool.</p> |
