The mowing tool, which is provided especially for use in lawnmowers, has a cutter bar (1) with cutting edges (3). Attached to each end (1a, 1b) of the cutter bar is a wing (4) which extends rearwards in relation to the direction of rotation (C). Each wing has not only along its outer edge (8) an outer lug (10) bent out of its plane, but also on its inner edge (11) a second lug (12) which can be bent at the same angle as the first lug. The second lug (12) can have a different shape from the first lug (10), and it can also be higher than that in relation to the wing plane. The regions (5, 6, 13), about which both each wing (4) is bent relative to the cutter bar (1) and the lugs (10, 12) are bent relative to the wing (14), are highly rounded. As a result of the arrangement of the second inner lug (12), a powerful, but nevertheless relatively quiet airflow is generated, together with the outer lug (10), by the rotating mowing tool, this airflow guaranteeing a tangential conveyance of the mown grass out of the housing into the grass-collecting device of the lawnmower. <IMAGE>
