Sports shoe for indoor use - with rubber insert of specified hardness in ball region of polyurethane foam outsole

A sports shoe, esp. for indoor sports, is made of a soft plastic material such as polyurethane foam. The outsole carries a pattern which is arranged in a circle around the centre of the ball of the big toe. An insert which corresponds to a small circle around this centre and concentric to the rest of the pattern consists of a sole rubber of greater hardness. Its preferred Shore hardness A range is between 55 and 75 deg. (65 deg.). This provides a better non-slip property for the shoe on wooden flooring and a safer feeling to the wearer.
