PURPOSE:To minimize lateral sliding in a method of steering for improving movement performances of a vehicle, by making the steering angle of front wheels at a ratio variable to the steering angle of a steering wheel that has been operated in accordance with the speed of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The hydraulic pressure from a pump 3 is kept constant by an unloading valve 5 and an accumulator 8, and servo valves 26, 6 are controlled with respect to the flow rates by electrical signals from servo amplifiers 17, 27 to displace hydraulic actuators 7, 25. The electrical signals determine, in a controlling circuit 11, based on a vehicle speed signal V, an input signal of a steering angle fD and various factors of the vehicle, the steering angle ratio Kr according to the equationI, and then the front wheel steering angle f and the rear wheel steering angle r are calculated in accordance with the equation II. The f signal is send to the servo pump 27 for steering the front wheels and the r is sent to the servo pump 17 for steering the rear wheels so that they are operated respectively. |
